Default Other People's Major Purchases

We all at times splurge on things that we want, not neccessarily need but just want. There is nothing wrong with doing that on occassion. If we all went through life never having anything that we want how boring would that be?

I know I have splurged here and there. Last year I bought myself a new pc. Besides that there have been a few things here and there that were more "minor".

I was wondering, what do other people splurge on? What do they buy just to buy it?

Here are some of the more common things that people drop money on just because they want it.

Purebred dogs are high on that list. Some people will drop a good amount of money for a purebred.

Vacations are pretty big and expensive too. I am talking like a two week Italian getaway or a couple of weeks in the Bahamas.

Electronics are always big on the list, costly too. Things from cameras, televisions, iPods and laptops.

Parties are on the list as well. People want to have the grandest parties, leaving nothing undone. They lay down a lot of dough for a great party.

Sometimes you just have to have a little fun with your money. If you can afford it, there's nothing wrong with it.

Default Re: Other People's Major Purchases

Everyone needs to splurge on something every now and then. I dont do it alot though because its just not in my budget. Though when it is, yeah I do splurge on things that I am wanting.

Of course there are loads of things that I do want, and want to get for others as well. Though I have to do just a little at a time as my finances will allow.

Heck even for Christmas this year, instead of buying everyone things that they were wanting we went for things that they needed instead. There are a few things that they were wanting as well, though not very many at all.
