Default Today's Major Purchases

There was a time when a new car or a new house was considered a major purchase. Granted they still are but these days there are so many more things which have become a major purchase as well.

Gas seems to be a major purchase for a lot of folks, though that is mostly because the gas prices have shot up to almost $4 per gallon.

Clothing, school supplies, home repairs, appliances, lawn care equipment and so on is all these days a major purchase for most homes.

The dollar just can't be stretched as much as it used to, which makes everything that a home needs seem to be a major purchase.

Heck I made plans to go to the movie theatre to watch that new movie called "Hop", but I was not going to pay their prices for the movie. I will wait til it comes out on DVD and either rent or buy it. It will be cheaper that way.
