Default Affording Kid's Sports

My son plays sports all-year round and I tell ya, they are taking a toll on me financially!

I love the fact that he is so athletic. I love that he keeps himself healthy with all of his activity. I love that he keeps himself too busy to get into any trouble. What I don't love is how much it actually costs for all of his sports.

He plays football and basketball for his school and he plays baseball for a summer league. It is free for him to sign-up for the school sports but the baseball league charges.

Right now we are in basketball. There was no sign-up fee but all of the traveling and paying to get into the games is enough to break me! It costs $4.00 per person to get into his games. There are four of us besides him (he gets in free of course) so that is $16 a game!!! You'd think I was watching the pros or something! And then you have to have something to drink. There is another five bucks. And to top it off he has three games a week! Thats sixty some bucks a week just for his basketball. Oh and I forgot to mention all of the gas we go through getting him to and from practices and games.

It's really getting out of hand!
