Default Animal Hording

I watch a lot of different animal shows on Tv. One I was watching was about people who horde animals. One woman had more than 25 animals in her home!!

This means that most of her income went into buying food just to feed these animals, leaving barely enough for people to pay their bills and feed themself.

This of course is a huge waste of money, but this is also an illness that some people suffer with. One thing it is not healthy for the animals as they do not get the proper care, and of course it is not healthy for the owner either.

No one can properly care for and handle that many animals at one time every single day.

I am a huge animal lover, though I know for a fact that it would be impossible to give that many animals all the care and attention that they need on a daily basis, plus having that many animals the vet bills would be so extremely high that the average person could not afford it.

Of course the animals were removed from the homes, and hopefully those people seek out help with this illness, and hopefully put their money to better use.

Default Re: Animal Hording

I have seen some shows where people have 20 or more animals living inside and most of the time the conditions are aweful. When people have come in to clean the houses they find dead animals, animal carcasses and all kinds of gross stuff. It's a real shame.
