Default Be Careful Using Credit for Gas

Be careful if you use your bank card or credit card to purchase gas. Here is why.

The other day I went into the gas station (you have to prepay) to get gas. I wanted to fill up but didn't know how much exactly it would take. I asked for $40 worth. The guy typed it in and I swiped my card. I told him that it might not hold that much. He said that was fine that I would only be charged what it took.

So I go out and pump my gas. It only would hold $35. I went back in just to make sure and told him that it only took $35. He reassured me that I would only be charged the $35.

Two days later I am doing my internet banking and wouldn't you know I find a charge for the $40.00.

I stopped in and they refunded me my five bucks.

Just be careful that you are getting charged the correct amount.
