Could Money Troubles Have Caused Michael Jackson's Death?

Do you think money problems could have caused Michael Jacson to put his health at risk resulting in death?

Thats what the defense attorney for Dr. Conrad Murray is saying as Murray plead not guilty to the charges against him involving the death of Jackson.

“The crux of the defense is going to be that Michael Jackson engaged in a desperate act and took desperate measures that caused his death,” Edward Chernoff told Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor at a pretrial hearing. “We believe at the time Michael Jackson died he was a desperate man in relation to his financial affairs.”

I had heard long before Jackson's death that he was in financial trouble.
Defense attorney Edward Chernoff has requested access to Michael's financial records to prove his argument but he was denied.

“I’m not going to turn an involuntary manslaughter trial into some kind of an escapade in analysis of the finances in Michael Jackson’s entire life … Right now this is major deep sea fishing.”

Opening arguments are to begin on May 9th.

I agree with you we all know that Michael Jackson lived outside of his means quite often and this lead to him having some serious financial problems through most of his career.

Though I don't think that he died over financial stresses. He could afford to take care of himself. If lawyers wanna say he died because of his financial situation then so be it, but I don't think it's going to fly.

We all have money problems. Maybe not in the millions as Jackson did, but still problems and it isn't killing all of us!!

Your right Centsgirl, their money problems aren't like those of the average person they tend to get worse.

I say this because most people know their limits and don't tend to go overboard. However those like Michael Jackson tend to think they are above it all and seriously go overboard creating some serious debts.

Michael Jackson was in debt by the millions last I heard. That isn't something that the average person is going to allow to happen to themselves.

I am not saying that most people don't have money problems, because right now I think just about everyone does. It is just that most people are able to budget themselves and keep it all in check. Where some like Michael Jackson lived outside of his means and wracked up some huge debts.
