Default Gasoline and travel plans.

With the rise in gasoline prices some travel plans may need to be changed.

We currently have gas prices at $3.89 a gallon which is unreal. A year ago the average was like $2.49 a gallon.

I just wish that our paychecks would raise as quickly as the gas prices do. It is difficult enough to budget now and the rise in gasoline is another thing that will have us adjusting our budgets.

Weekly travel too and from work costs us the majority of our gasoline so I think that when it comes time to do our taxes the government should adjust for the changes over the year or make it so that we earn more an hour to compensate for the difference.

Default Re: Gasoline and travel plans.

Gasoline prices here in Ohio as of yesterday were $3.78 per gallon. It wouldnt surprise me to see $5.00 a gallon before the summer is over.

There sure shouldnt be as much holiday travel this year as there has been in the past. I may be wrong about that as I do know a lot of people will be using their credit cards to finance their trips but that will just lead to problems for them in the future.

As for us, any vacations will be taken locally. And to me, thats the only way to go as by vacationing locally also adds to our states coffers.
