Less Expensive Weddings
A wedding is a special time for couples. Though it is also very stressful, and very expensive. When a couple plan for their special day, they shouldnt have to spend their life savings trying to afford everything. Here are some really great ideas to hopefully help all those Brides and Grooms to be, save a little money to start their lives on.
Invitations,Home computers are great. There are even a wide varity of great printer papers. With just a computer, printer and paper you can create your own wedding invitations. All you need are these three things and a little imagination.
Location, is another problem for most weddings. Banquet halls and the like are very costly. Why not check out the possibility of renting some tents, or even a barn if you live more in the country? Another great idea is to look into your local parks. Especially those which have shelters or gazebos. These can all be decorated very nicely and would save you a pretty penny.
Entertainment is something else that can run up a nice bill. Bands and DJ's can be pretty expensive unless you are related to them. Here is a great idea for those who dont have musical talent in the family or for friends. Create your own music disc containing the music that you and your spouse to be love. There are also CD's which can be purchased at most stores. Then all you need is a portable CD player, which I think almost everyone has.
Food, now here is where many Brides panic, not knowing what to serve guests, and how much most caterer's charge per plate. This is yet another costly wedding problem. Well do what most people are doing these days, have a pot luck wedding. Though you will still need to make a dish or two, something like sandwhiches or a pasta. Have a list of foods you think everyone would enjoy and ask those attending to bring something on your list. This lessens the cost for you and allows just about everyone to help participate in your wedding.
Decorating, keep it simple. Streamers are the way to go and are easily livened up with a few flowers or bows. If using flowers choose something which is in season this will help keep the cost down.
