Outlet Store Ripoffs
Stores are out there simply to get your money. We all know that. If they diodn't profit then they couldn't do business. It's as simple as that. But sometimes they profit more from you than you thought. Here are some of the biggest ripoffs to be aware of.
1. The amount you think you are saving may be a lie. Most stores make their own tags these days therefore they have the ability to mark the suggested retail price to anything that they want. In example they can tag an item with a suggested price of $3.00 and only charge you $2. That makes you think you are saving a buck. When in reality that very item normally sells for $2.00. So you aren't saving anything. This sort of thing has become a trend.
2. Getting overcharged at the register is another thing to watch out for. It's fairly rare that a person shops retail and only buys one thing. When you are checking out it can be difficult to see what each item is ringing up as. You can very easily be overcharged and not even be aware of it.
3. Coupon booklets. Many outlet stores are now offering coupon booklets for sale. You can use the coupons to save on future purchases. The thing is many of the coupons are only for something like 10% off your next purchase of $100. The savings will barely cover the cost of the coupon booklet if it does at all so beware of that gimmick.
