Prepaid Wireless

Almost everyone above the age of twelve has a cell phone these days. I don't know how parents can afford to pay for their own cell phones plus ones for their kids as well.

If you go with a cell phone plan through a company it can get quite expensive. They charge for activation, contract renewals and so on. Thats why I do prepaid.

Currently I have Tracfone which has been just fine for me but now I am considering switching over to Straight Talk.

Straight Talk is a new provider in my area and they are really cheap. For $30.00 a month you get 1000 units of talk, text or web time. For $45.00 a month you get unlimited of all three! Thats a great deal!

And they have nice phones as well. They have sliders and full keyboards and so on. I really do think I am going to switch.

Who do you have and what do you think of them?

I have a tracfone and love it

I don't use it much, so I get the refill cards as needed. About 6 months ago I spent $25 for their special (that's always running) to get double minutes for life, and the free minutes I've gotten since then have more than paid for it...

I just bought $100 worth of minutes on their website to refill my balance, and that worked out to 1,000 minutes; and should last me a good 6 months...

You really can't beat .10 a minute for prepaid cell phones...
