USD Vs Euros

My teenage daughter is in Europe right now. She left on Wednesday and she won't be back until late on the 26th. Two weeks total she will be gone.

I must say that I now really understand how much less our U.S. dollar is worth in Europe! It's crazy!

The exchange rate for USD to EURO is $1.00- .69 cents. Unreal!

I am getting worried that she will run out of money!

When I took her to the airport I had her go ahead and exchange $200.00 so that she wouldn't have to worry about it right away when she landed in Paris. She gave them $200 and they gave her $138.00. Thats a big difference!

And I guess things cost more over there so she is going through money kind of fast. She is almost through half the money I sent with her and she is only 5 days in. She has a long way to go.

I got to talk with her today and I told her to have fun but at the same time be a little careful with the money because she's gonna run out!

I hope that she doesn't run out of money, yet I agree with you that the exchange rate is unreal!!

I didn't think it was quite that bad. I guess traveling over to Europe is out of reach for me forever!

I guess I will have to stick to traveling around our own country and seeing the different sites when the budget allows.
